Electric Water Heating units meet targeted Energy Factors by size of unit. All units carry a minimum 12 year tank life. Water lines are insulated and heat traps are in place. Expansion tanks are highly recommended in homes featuring two or more water heaters.

Outdoor/ Digital thermostats are recommended to better control supplemental heat operation.

Gas applications are not permitted in the Touchstone Energy® HOME.

Wood burning fireplaces meet strict EPA guidelines. Outside air for combustion, tight fitting dampers, tempered glass doors, insulated chimney flues with air and thermal barriers are in place. These fireplaces are EPA approved and reduce contaminants into the air, while providing true energy savings and comfort in the home. See Section 6 of the HOME Standard for more information.
