Electric Water Heating units meet targeted Energy Factors by size of unit. All units carry a minimum 12 year tank life. Water lines are insulated and heat traps are in place. Expansion tank placement is highly recommended for those homes featuring a geothermal de-super heater and secondary water holding tank. Minimum EF does not apply.

Outdoor/ Digital thermostats are recommended to better control supplemental heat operation.

Gas applications are not permitted in the Touchstone Energy® HOME.

Combustion fireplaces meet strict EPA guidelines. Outside air for combustion, tight fitting dampers, tempered doors, insulated chimney flues with air and thermal barriers are in place. These fireplaces are EPA approved and reduce contaminants into the air, while providing true energy savings and comfort in the home. See Section 6 of the HOME Standard for more information.

Gas & Tankless water heaters are prohibited in Touchstone Energy Homes.

WOOD CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEMS ARE PROHIBITED IN TOUCHSTONE ENERGY HOMES.
